I lost my partner and really struggled. I felt sad, lost and lonely, and I needed help to make sense of my grief and learn how to cope with it.
The telephone support gave me space to speak openly, feel listened to, and understand that what I was feeling was normal. It also helped me deal with practical and emotional parts of bereavement more gently, one step at a time.
I feel much better now and understand my grief more than I did before. My counsellor has been a beautiful soul, and I am very grateful for the help I have had.
I know it is okay to be upset, and I want to keep letting my emotions out and using the support and coping tools I have been given.
From October 2024 to the end of March 2026 we delivered flexible, community-based therapeutic support to Sandwell adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and bereavement.
