The PAGE project supports Sandwell parents/guardians with learning disabilities and/or autism. PAGE offers Independent Advocacy and Independence and Wellbeing support, through the provision of bespoke one-to-one holistic support, helping parents to overcome challenges and achieve their personal goals.

Our Independence and Wellbeing support can help these parents to create healthier, happier and safer homes and increase their confidence, skills and support networks all of which maximises the chances of keeping the family unit together.

Our Independent Advocacy specifically supports Sandwell parents/guardians with learning disabilities and/or autism who are subject to interventions from Children’s Services, ensuring their voices are heard and to help them navigate discussions, meetings and court hearings related to their case.

The PAGE project is delivered by our partners Sandwell Advocacy and Ideal for All.

Eligibility Criteria:

Parents/Guardians (or those about to become a parent or guardian) with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism. There does not need to be a formal diagnosis.

Sandwell residents over 18 years of age. If a parent/guardian is not resident in Sandwell we may still be able to offer the service under some circumstances. This may include them having a GP in Sandwell, their child living in Sandwell, their workplace being in Sandwell, or they are registered with statutory Sandwell services. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

The service is provided by English-speaking team members - we do not have translation services available but if parents/guardians can access suitable translation support we may be able to offer the service. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

You may be contacted about your referral.
Please ensure you have consent to make the referral, and have notified the parent/guardian that we will contact them by phone to arrange our initial assessment.

Claire was a victim of domestic violence and as a result has suffered a life changing condition resulting in her no longer having the same capacity to take care of herself and her family in the way she used to. This has led to the children being removed from her care temporarily.
