| We are pleased to share that the PAGE service for Sandwell parents/guardians with learning disabilities and/or autism is now re-launched. With a bigger team, a refreshed service offer and an improved referral pathway, the relaunch builds directly on learning from the original PAGE project. In our new service offer, we have rescoped our Independent Living Skills offer from a focus on delivering life skills training, to more bespoke one-to-one holistic support, helping parents to overcome challenges and achieve their personal goals. Our Independence and Wellbeing support can help these parents to create healthier, happier and safer homes and increase their confidence, skills and support networks all of which maximises the chances of keeping the family unit together. We aim to support parents much earlier – before issues arise and statutory services are required – and we are encouraging referrals from childcare and school facilities, Family Hubs, Maternity Services, GP’s, health visitors and pre-natal teams. Our Independent Advocacy specifically supports Sandwell parents/guardians with learning disabilities and/or autism who are subject to interventions from Children’s Services, ensuring their voices are heard and to help them navigate discussions, meetings and court hearings related to their case. The PAGE project is funded until March 2029 with thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund, and is delivered by our partners Sandwell Advocacy and Ideal for All. |
