Launching Step-Up Sandwell

We’re excited to introduce Step-Up Sandwell, a dedicated employment support initiative designed to help residents who are unemployed or economically inactive gain the skills and confidence they need to move into work, training, or volunteering. Delivered by Sandwell African and Caribbean Mental Health Foundation and Breakthru CIC, this service provides tailored, culturally aware support to ensure individuals receive the guidance that best meets their needs.

By working together, we can strengthen community networks and help individuals overcome employment barriers.

Step-Up Sandwell is here to complement your existing services, offering specialist employment support, including:

  • Personalized career coaching, guiding individuals through their next steps.
  • Free short courses in Maths, English, ESOL, and employability skills.
  • Volunteering opportunities, providing hands-on experience and boosting employability.
  • Targeted support for residents of African, Caribbean, and Dual Heritage backgrounds.
  • Specialist employment pathways for individuals with learning disabilities or additional needs.

Funded by the UK Government, this initiative ensures accessible, high-quality support for Sandwell residents.
